I don’t have a fleet of boats. Just the same one that I have meticulously maintained for the last 25 years. The Mighty Mako is a custom built 25 foot center console designed with fishing in mind. It has more square foot fishing space than many boats twice it’s size. This space allows for maximum comfort while it’s stability and low freeboard allows for easier management of large game fish.
With a beam of 9 feet and a draft of 10 inches, and 360 degree of fishability, the Mighty Mako has all the benefits of a backwater flats boat without sacrificing comfort, spaciousness, and safety.
The Mighty Mako is not the fastest, biggest or most luxurious boat on the islands surrounding waters. It doesn’t have an air-conditioned saloon with a microwave or flat screen TV. There is no stereo, X-box or Nintendo on board. This fishing boat was designed with ONE thing in mind… FISHABILITY!
Calm and Comfortable Inshore Water… Beautiful Scenery… Lite Tackle… Large Fish

The Mighty Mako fishes out of Hilton Heads “1st and original” marina”, Palmetto Bay, est 1959. Palmetto Bay, aka “the locals” marina, has been serving islanders, vacationers, visiting anglers and traveling boaters for over 50 years. It is a full service marina offering shopping, dinning, rentals, various water-sport activities and all the amenities one would expect from a 1st class marina. Before your morning fishing adventure, have breakfast at the Sunrise Cafe. Its a great way to power yourself up before you tackle those Big fish. They open at 6am and are hands down, the best breakfast spot on the island. When the sun goes down, its time to kick back and enjoy some tasty fish tacos and cool libations from The Black Marlin Restaurant. Home of the islands original Hurricane Bar. From sun up to sun down, the islands very 1st Marina, is still a great place to hang around. The Palmetto Bay Marina store offers all types of beverages including water, soda and beer, along with snacks, ice, cameras and boating wear and needs. Best of all is the Palmetto Bays convenient south end location. Just minutes from most Hotels and resort plantations. There is plenty of free parking and no gate fees, hassles or vehicle restrictions.
