Another month closer to fishing season. Our area water temps are now a balmy 50deg, which is mighty cold, but better than the low to mid 40 deg water temps that we experienced the past month. Only one other winter have I ever seen water temps that cold, and the same effect that was felt then, we are experiencing now, with many Trout, Black Drum and even several Manatees succumbing to those extreme conditions. Hopefully warmer weather will warm our waters by mid March and we will be able to give it a go and bend the poles. Until then, I will work on my golf swing, do some honey-do’s around the house, tune up the fishing tackle and chill out. Literally and figuratively. Have a Blessed day!
