Sunday JUNE 28th

The long and short of it is that the bite has really been off the last 4 days, with the exception of one morning in which we closely followed some Shrimp boats around and caught a handful of Sharks that weighed in at 60lb or more.  We also caught a couple of nice Jacks during the afternoon high tide mark, while sight casting and missed a few others. The Jacks only went about 20lbs or so but it was really fun.  The wind has hurt us as well as far as limiting our options, but even larger boats that are working the near shore waters are coming up empty. Could be a combination of rain, wind and water temp , but there is no doubt that the fishing as well as the sharking is really tough as of late. This coming week, the mornings are the way to go because of the high tide occurring then thru out the coming week. And even then,,, who knows. Will have an update on Tuesday evening.
